Provided towards COVID-19 relief in FY 2020-21 SUPPORT TO CM RELIEF FUND INR13.14 Mn Annual Report 2020-21 34 Disaster relief Our resilience will be key to our survival In the face of a calamity, the line of emergency response is critical to mitigate the consequences and challenges posed during and after the disaster. Recent years have seen a surge in erratic weather patterns. India has been witnessing regular and recurrent disturbances owing to the forces of nature. TKM acknowledges the impact of these natural disturbances and their effects on human life and economy. Additionally, the COVID-19 pandemic has brought a difference set of challenges in the society from the perspective of disaster relief and preparedness. The implications of the same go beyond the health and wellbeing. Being a global challenge, it warrants coordinated efforts from the Government and other stakeholders on various levels. TKM’s social interventions in the field of disaster relief have been towards providing support to families affected by the disasters and its aftereffects. This includes providing support directly to the affected individuals as well the institutional stakeholders responding to it. In wake of the Pandemic, as a part of our CSR commitment to disaster relief, we have contributed INR13.14 Mn to Karnataka CM relief fund in FY 2020-21.
